Our office would like to update our patients and families about what our office protocol is in response to the Coronavirus outbreak. We are following the CDC’s recommendations and relying on the information that is being provided by the World Health Organization. With the safety of our patients, their families, and our staff as our utmost priority we are asking any patient, anyone accompanying the patient to their appointment who is experiencing any signs or symptoms of respiratory illness, cough, or fever OR if they have traveled in the last 14 days to an area with confirmed cases of the COVID-19 to call our office and reschedule their appointment.
At this time, you may keep your routine scheduled appointment but we are asking that only the patient and one other guardian be present to minimize the exposure to germs that can cause disease. In addition to our protocol we will be screening ALL patients, no matter what appointment type you may have here you will be asked a few questions pertaining to health and travel. Anyone calling in for a sick appointment you will be triaged first so that the triage nurse can ask a series of questions to determine if you will be brought in for an appointment or advised to stay home and be given home care instructions. Please note that we are not testing for the Coronavirus here in our office and will not be bringing in any children that may have been exposed to the virus. We ask that you call if you have concerns and we will direct you as to what steps you need to take.
We are monitoring the situation very carefully here and although we are currently open for walk-ins and Saturday walk-ins please be advised that at any time these walk-ins can and/or will be temporarily closed until further notice. We will post this on our Facebook page and website when this takes effect.
Lastly, we want to thank all of our patients and their families for understanding what we need to do here in keeping everyone safe and protected. As mentioned before, your health and safety is the most important thing to us and we will do everything possible in keeping you safe. Thank you for your cooperation and we will keep you posted as to any changes we make here and if you have any questions do not hesitate to call us!
